Privacy Policy
Last updated 2 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Clozit collects when you use the Clozit app and theclozit.com, why we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Clozit is a product of Lumi Labs LP (UEN T26LP0153L), a limited partnership registered in Singapore, which is the organisation responsible for your personal data under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
1. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details. Your mobile number, used to sign in with a one-time code, and an email address and password if you add one as another way to sign in. You also choose a handle and display name, and can add a profile photo and a short bio.
- Onboarding answers. Your answers to the setup questions, which can include your gender (or "prefer not to say"), clothing sizes, style preferences, what brings you to Clozit, how you heard about us, and an invite code if you have one.
- Your wardrobe. Photos you take or choose of your clothes, including care labels and brand tags, and the details you add or edit (brand, size, material, condition, value).
- Looks and photos on the Style canvas. Outfits you arrange and save, planned days, and photos you add to a look, which may include photos of yourself.
- Marketplace activity. Listings, prices, swap offers, orders, meetup times and places, chat messages with other users, and handoff confirmations.
- Payment details. If you sell, the mobile number registered for PayNow that buyers pay you through (by default the number you signed in with). We do not collect card numbers or buyer bank account details. Where payouts run through Stripe, we store your Stripe account reference, its status, and the last four digits of the bank account you connected.
- Messages to us. What you send to support, or through the contact or waitlist forms on theclozit.com (your name, email address and message).
Information collected when you use the app
- Approximate location, if you allow it. The app asks for location permission to show the weather and suggest outfits that suit it. Your phone sends its location to Open-Meteo to fetch the forecast. We store a rounded version (to about 1 km) and your city name on our servers, overwriting the previous one, so the outfit we prepare each morning can take the weather into account. You can turn location off at any time in iOS Settings.
- Notification tokens. If you allow notifications, a device token so we can send you push notifications and Live Activities.
- Activity. Things like when you last used the app, what you log as worn, your check-in streak, and your Orbit balance and history.
The app does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs, and we do not sell your personal data.
2. How we use it
- To create and secure your account and sign you in.
- To build your digital wardrobe: removing photo backgrounds on your phone, identifying each piece, and estimating its value.
- To suggest outfits, including the daily look we prepare for you, using your wardrobe, preferences and local weather.
- To run the marketplace: showing listings, connecting buyers, sellers and swap partners, arranging meetups, confirming handoffs, and processing platform fees, refunds and Orbits.
- To send you notifications about your orders, messages and looks. You can turn push notifications off in iOS Settings.
- To answer your questions, investigate problems, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Use.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. AI processing
Several features use AI models run by third-party providers:
- Scanning a piece. Your garment, care label and brand tag photos are sent to an AI model provider to identify the item's brand, type, material, size and an estimated value.
- Finding official product images. A garment photo may be sent to Google Cloud Vision to look for matching product images on the web.
- Styling looks. When you generate a look, or when we prepare your daily look, the model receives details of your wardrobe items (such as names, brands, materials, colours and how often you've worn them), the vibe and occasion, and the weather for your city.
- Handoff checks. Photos taken during a marketplace handoff may be checked by an AI model.
We currently use Google (Gemini) and Anthropic (Claude) as AI model providers, and may use OpenAI. We send them only what each feature needs, and they process it under their own terms. AI results can be wrong, so check what's identified about your items before you rely on it.
4. What other people can see
- Your profile: handle, display name, profile photo, bio, and the meetup spots you prefer.
- Your listings: the item's photos and details, price, and your handle and meetup spots.
- When you trade: the other person in an order sees your chat messages, the agreed meetup time and place, and order updates. If you are the seller, the buyer can see and save your PayNow QR code, which carries your PayNow mobile number, so they can pay you.
- Looks you make public: saved looks are private unless you switch a look to Public. A public look, including every photo in it (selfies included), can be shown to other users on the listings of pieces it contains. Switching it back to Private stops that.
Your wardrobe, your unlisted items and your private looks are not shown to other users. Wardrobe photos are stored with our cloud storage provider and delivered to the app as web links; we don't publish them, but anyone who obtains a photo's link may be able to open it.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run Clozit, with other users as described above, or when the law requires it.

|---|---|
| Google Firebase | Sign-in (phone and email) and push notification delivery (a notification can include the text of a chat message sent to you) |

| Google Cloud Vision | Matching garment photos to product images |
| Google Maps Platform | Searching for and showing meetup places |
| Open-Meteo | Weather forecasts for your location |
| Cloudflare | Photo storage and network services |
| Railway | Hosting our servers and database |

| Vercel, Resend | Hosting theclozit.com and delivering its form submissions to us by email |
If Clozit is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that deal, and this policy will continue to apply to it.
6. Storage and transfers
Some of the providers above process data outside Singapore, including in the United States. When we transfer personal data overseas, we take steps to make sure it is protected to a standard comparable to the PDPA, including through our contracts with those providers.
7. How long we keep it
We keep personal data while your account is open and for as long as we need it for the purposes above. Records of marketplace orders, payments, refunds, Orbit transactions and order chats are kept after an order ends, because they are needed to resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal and accounting obligations. Your stored location is replaced each time it updates, and no history of it is kept.
8. Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app under Profile → Settings → Delete account. You can't delete it while an order is still in progress, so finish or cancel open orders first.
When you delete your account, we:
- remove your display name, profile photo, bio, stored location, notification tokens, PayNow number and preferred meetup spots;
- delete the photos you added to looks on the Style canvas;
- cancel your active listings;
- sign you out and disconnect the account from your phone number.
Some data is kept after deletion today:
- your handle, so the order history of people you traded with still makes sense;
- order, payment, Orbit and chat records, for the reasons in section 7;
- your wardrobe items and their photos, saved looks, wear history and onboarding answers, which are not yet erased automatically;
- your phone number and any email address in our sign-in provider's records.
To have your wardrobe, looks, onboarding answers or sign-in record erased as well, email support@theclozit.com from the account you used, or tell us your handle, and we'll erase them within 30 days.
9. Your choices and rights
- Access and correction. You can see and edit most of your data in the app. You can also ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or to correct it.
- Withdrawing consent. You can turn off location, camera, photo and notification access in iOS Settings at any time, and you can ask us to stop using your data for a purpose. Some features may stop working if you do, and withdrawing consent doesn't affect records we must keep by law.
- Deletion. See section 8.
Email support@theclozit.com to make a request. We may need to confirm it's you, and we'll reply within 30 days.
10. Security
We protect your data with measures such as encrypted connections, access controls, and keeping photos you add to looks in a separate private storage area. No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a data breach that affects you, we'll notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
11. Children
Clozit is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, email us and we'll delete it.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Clozit changes. We'll update the date at the top, and if a change is significant we'll take reasonable steps to let you know, for example in the app.
For questions about this policy or your personal data, contact our Data Protection Officer at support@theclozit.com.
